Al is one of the principals and combines his extensive knowledge of botany and soil science with a passion for design to create beautiful and functional outdoor spaces. As the Principal Landscape Architect and general partner, he leverages over 40 years of experience to craft environments that cater to a variety of needs.

Brian Dutchover

Brian is one of the principals and oversees design and construction management, ensuring that our designs are executed flawlessly to protect your investment. As Senior Designer and general partner, he brings over 35 years of experience and a keen understanding of our clients' unique needs to every project.

Steve Valenzuela

Steve is our irrigation expert, dedicated to ensuring that landscapes are irrigated efficiently according to their specific needs. As Designer and Project Manager, he brings over 20 years of experience and is involved in all aspects of landscape design, including residential, commercial, recreational, and educational facilities. His expertise in irrigation design allows us to offer in-house solutions that utilize water-efficient technologies and effective water management practices.

The only people who will work on your project are employees of Dutchover & Associates. Our team members have experience and horticultural backgrounds, and we will all be familiar with your landscape needs.

Are you insured and licensed?

We have all necessary licenses for our area, and we carry insurance for all of our projects.

Some larger construction projects require special licenses and certifications. We have trusted members of the landscaping community that we work with for those special cases.

We do all kinds of landscaping, but our specialty is in mixing non-native and native plants to make a landscape that meets your needs and fits the ecology of our area.
